IN ADAMS & HETTINGER COUNTIES, NORTH DAKOTA
This 31-mile Minor Rehabilitation project on ND Highway 22 began at the junction of Hwy 12 and went north to New England and consisted of sliver grading, mill and overlay, culvert extensions, subcut and turn lanes. Brosz completed the Environmental Documentation (Programmatic CATEX), Preliminary Survey, Preliminary Design and Final Design for this project. The existing roadway was narrow and the proposed improvements provided a wider subgrade to accommodate a 12’ driving lane and a 2’ shoulder. A cost-savings was achieved when the existing asphalt surfacing was milled and recycled into the new asphalt surfacing as RAP (Recycled Asphalt Pavement). A Traffic Operations Study was completed and determined that three turn lanes should be added to the project. Brosz completed the environmental study, survey, right of way, permitting, and design work on time and under budget.
