Depot Street Structure Replacement (Box Culvert)

The Depot Street Bridge which crosses Pony Creek received approval for a Replacement Bridge Improvement Grant via the South Dakota Department of Transportation. The bridge design and construction engineering were completed in conjunction with City of Parkston’s Depot Street Reconstruction project.

The project included the removal of the existing 25’ long single span steel I-beam with concrete deck and concrete vertical abutments and replacing it with a cast-in-place four (4) cell, 15’x7’ reinforced concrete box culvert. The project also included 227’ of steel pedestrian railing and 713 tons of Class B riprap.
