WATFORD CITY, NORTH DAKOTA
The development on the original Lot 18 of Fox Hills Village is a 32-acre subdivision in eastern Watford City featuring multi-family and single-family development. Brosz amended the existing master plan for the area and performed the preliminary engineering, platting, final engineering, and construction engineering. This included street and lot layout, grading plan, water and sanitary sewer design, and storm sewer design.
Located near the Watford City High School, Rough Rider Center, and new Fox Hills Elementary School, the site had many topographical and drainage challenges that needed to be addressed to accommodate residential streets and lots. The initial master drainage plan included this site in a regional stormwater facility, so a detention pond was not required, but off-site drainage needed to be accommodated in the drainage and storm sewer plans. The site was graded to provide for walkout lots beside an existing water feature, garden view lots, and traditional lots to offer a variety of options for potential builders and buyers.
