SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA
The SDDOT and the City of Sioux Falls are partnering to construct a new diverging diamond interchange at the busiest intersection in the state. This $40 million, 2-year construction project will improve safety and enhance traffic operations at the intersection of 41st Street and I-29. Construction began in early 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by the summer 2024. The project is divided into two phases: west and east. The west half of the project area includes 41st Street from Marion Road to Meadow Avenue. The east half includes 41st Street from Meadow Avenue to Shirley Avenue.
Working as a subcontractor for D&G Concrete, the Brosz survey team is playing a vital role in the project by providing construction surveying services. In addition to accurately mapping out the project site, the team often identifies unforeseen issues in the field during the staking process. Brosz’s work includes construction staking for storm sewer, electrical, and other utilities. The team is also conducting paving staking for all concrete paving and curb and gutter work.
